Education

Education is an integral part of the work of the Architecture Centre. The Centre supports and promotes education in all aspects of its work as a way of generating a greater understanding of the importance of the environment and the way in which people can play a role in managing it.

The Centre's education and training activities are underpinned by our objectives to:

  • Work with community groups
  • Work with decision-makers in public and private sectors
  • Work with schools, teachers and parents
  • Work across boundaries to share good practice
  • The Centre engages the community in a number of ways, by facilitating 'Planning for Real' events, 'Architects' Ideas Days' and public exhibitions. The Centre provides urban design training programmes for Housing Associations and Council Members.
