Workshops and conferences
The Centre manages and facilitates conferences, exhibitions, publication launches and workshops. These aim to develop design appreciation and expertise and to give people confidence when making decisions on design proposals. The Centre is frequently asked to organise events for local authority elected members and staff on design and development issues. These are aimed primarily at providing the decision-makers with an increased awareness of design and the confidence that is needed to make informed decisions. Events normally centre on specific sites or local planning issues.
