The Centre has experience in preparing a range of design guidance from the county-wide to town-wide and town centre levels, including manuals and design codes for streets and open spaces in historic areas. Guidance is based on an audit and analysis of local characteristics and is aimed at ensuring that local identities are reinforced through the application of sound advice relevant to the local context.
